Olive Green Floral Tile Pendant by skeleigh on Etsy

Etsy seller skeleigh's story is enough to break any mom's heart (or any person for that matter!) She lost her 10-year-old son to brain cancer in 2008. To help make sure no one else has to go what she has gone through, she donates all proceeds from the beautiful items in her shop to various cancer charities. She is currently donating to St. Baldrick's Foundation and will be shaving her head in September as part of her fund-raising. This gorgeous pendant is only one of the many styles of items she offers in her shop. Check out her great collection of awareness and Twilight tiles, as well as beautiful jewelry items in other styles.

Welcome to Stamp Out Cancer's new blog!

Welcome to our new blog! Stamp Out Cancer is a shop started on Etsy by my sister Becca and I in May 2008, expanding to Artfire in 2009, and we are dedicated 100% to fighting blood cancers. All materials, workmanship, and venue fees are donated by us and some fellow artist supporters, the only money taken out of the donation amount is Paypal fees and actual shipping costs. We are big supporters of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and their Team in Training program, which we have been involved with since 2006. Collectively we have raised close to $10,000 for the program so far and have run 2 half-marathons and a marathon (go Becca!) We have a goal this year to raise $8700 more and run another half-marathon together with our mom, Sue. The reason we are so involved is because we lost our grandfather to leukemia in 2005. It is a terrible disease, and it was so hard to watch such an active man who we love go through it, so we became involved to fight it and to get ourselves more active and in shape. We miss you, Grandpa!

This blog will be dedicated to showing you items from the handmade community that donate all or part of their proceeds to fight cancer. Together we can find a cure!
